SUMMARY:Gold Medal from Chiu Hin Chun at Hong Kong Around the Island - Coastal Rowing Race
DESCRIPTION:Chiu Hin Chun (Chun)\, the elite athlete-student of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)\, has won the gold medal at Hong Kong Around the Island – Rowing Double Sculls (CMix2x)\, with his partner Claire Susan Burley on 15th November 2020. The race was signified by the long distance (45 km) and a scenic race course along the coastline of Hong Kong Island\, with metropolitan skyline on the one side and the tranquil nature on the other side. Chun hoped that this Coastal Rowing Race could be a warm up to prepare for the Olympic Qualification held next year\, as he had not participated any competitions for nearly an year under COVID-19.  We believe that Chun can keep at this top performance and pass the Qualification successfully!\n \n\nPhoto Captured from sportsroad.hk (Left Chiu Hin Chun)\n

DESCRIPTION:Good News! Shek Wai Hung (Stone)\, the elite athlete-student of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) is voted The City’s Best male Athlete by the Hong Kong Sports Press Association. Stone won the gold medal at World Challenge Cup in Slovenia\, following after World Cup (Croatia) victory of Vault competition in 2019\, and become one of the athlete from Hong Kong to book a ticket to next year’s Tokyo Olympic Games. This award can show his effort on achieving duel career development by Stone. He can keep performing very well in his focus sport while he is studying in the Bachelor programme at EdUHK currently. He dismissed rumours that resistance training alone can help build muscle and there is no need to do aerobic exercise. SUMMARY:EdUHK Annual Cross Country Race to promote inclusiveness
DESCRIPTION:As lined up by CO\, HK01\, HKET\, Ming Pao\, Apple Daily\, Commercial Daily and Sports Road reported that the EdUHK Annual Cross Country Race went virtual this year due to the epidemic. Participants had before 29 November to record and upload their miles through a mobile application with no restrictions on time and venue. Led by karate athlete Mr Lee Chun-ho\, ambassador for the “Elite Athlete Friendly University”\, more than 160 EdUHK faculty members and students together with more than 30 people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) finished a 6\,304km marathon.
