DESCRIPTION:Our elite athlete-student Fung Ching Hei (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) captured a silver medal in the Women’s Individual event and a historic gold medal in the Mixed Team event at the “2026 FISU World University Championship Squash” held Mumbai\, India. \n\n\n\nThe Women’s Individual final took place on 6 August. Fung Ching Hei defeated opponents from India\, France\, and Spain on her way to the final. In the championship match\, she faced the defending champion and top-seeded player from Spain. Despite a determined effort\, she was defeated 0-3 and ultimately secured a well-deserved silver medal for Hong Kong.  \n\n\n\nIn the Mixed Team event held on 9 August\, Fung Ching Hei and her teammates defeated Great Britain and France to advance. Facing the host nation India in the final\, she secured a straight-games victory over her opponent to level the tie and ultimately edged past India on a points countback to claim Hong Kong’s first-ever gold medal in the team event at the World University Squash Championships. DESCRIPTION:Two EdUHK elite athlete-students and graduates delivered outstanding performances at the 8th Asian Taekwondo Indonesia Open Championship\, held in Indonesia\, bringing home two silver and one bronze medals. \n\n\n\nThe competition featured 36 teams across Asia contending for honors. Lui Ching Nam (graduate of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) demonstrated remarkable skills in the U30 Men’s Individual Recognized Poomsae Event\, earning a silver medal. He then joined forces with his teammates in the U30 Men’s Team Poomsae Event\, where they secured a bronze medal\, bringing his personal medal tally to one silver and one bronze. \n\n\n\nChan Ka Yi (current student of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Physical Education)) joined her teammates in the U30 Women’s Team Poomsae Event. Showcasing excellent teamwork and technical level\, the team captured a silver medal for Team Hong Kong.
