DESCRIPTION:Our elite athlete-student Fung Ching Hei (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) captured a silver medal in the Women’s Individual event and a historic gold medal in the Mixed Team event at the “2026 FISU World University Championship Squash” held Mumbai\, India. \n\n\n\nThe Women’s Individual final took place on 6 August. Fung Ching Hei defeated opponents from India\, France\, and Spain on her way to the final. In the championship match\, she faced the defending champion and top-seeded player from Spain. Despite a determined effort\, she was defeated 0-3 and ultimately secured a well-deserved silver medal for Hong Kong.  \n\n\n\nIn the Mixed Team event held on 9 August\, Fung Ching Hei and her teammates defeated Great Britain and France to advance. Facing the host nation India in the final\, she secured a straight-games victory over her opponent to level the tie and ultimately edged past India on a points countback to claim Hong Kong’s first-ever gold medal in the team event at the World University Squash Championships.
