In the qualifying round, Ng Pak Hang recorded the fastest finishing time of 4 minutes 37.701 seconds to advance to the final. He then produced an even stronger performance in the gold medal race, clocking 4 minutes 34.677 seconds and finishing the race eight seconds ahead of his teammate to claim the championship title, demonstrating his exceptional talent and determination.
