The\u00a0Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Science (FLASS)\u00a0and\u00a0the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) Programme [BHE]\u00a0co-organized a series of activities from March 2014 to May 2014, as a part of the Institute\u2019s campaign to spread the messages of love, health and care to the community.\u00a0 Following the first activity – Healthy Cooking Competition – which was held on 20 March 2014 successfully, the second activity – Dancing Competition – was completed on 30 April 2014.

The competition aims to promote general public\u2019s awareness of healthy lifestyle by incorporating simple dancing movements into daily physical activity. Participants were required to design fun dancing movements to motivate children\u2019s active engagement in dancing activities so as to achieve overall physical fitness.
\u00a0
Four teams were selected as finalists, namely\u00a0Let\u2019s Dance,\u00a0IEd Pop,\u00a0KDancer\u00a0and\u00a0Energy. The participating teams presented their dancing and ideas behind, delighting the audience with their lively presentations and demonstrations. \u00a0The Winner team,\u00a0Energy\u00a0(members included HKIEd students: Kwok Tsz Hin, Lee Ka Wai Jimmy (elite athlete in Karate) and Yip Pui Yin (elite athlete in Badminton)) will promote their dance in local primary school, to share the joy of dancing and healthy activity together.

In addition to the dancing competition, a hair-cutting volunteering project will be held in the coming month, as the last activity to show a sense of care towards society and to encourage the general public to enjoy a healthy lifestyle together.\u00a0
