The HPE Learning and Teaching Seminar 2024/25 – Open Class Session, “Empowering Artificial Intelligence Assessment of Skills Proficiency Test for Pre-Service Teacher in Physical Education“, was successfully conducted on 29 May 2025.

Dr. WONG Hoi Wai, Henry shared the outcome of a Teaching and Development Grant (TDG) project, in which the computational power of Artifical Intelligence was used in a mobile app for assisting pre-service PE teachers in assessing the students’ hurdles skill proficiency. With the help of cameras of mobile devices, motion of the student during hurdling could be captured for calculating data including velocity and etc. to analyse students’ posture and performance.
