HPE Programme Experiential Day 2026
July 13 – July 18
The Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) successfully hosted the HPE Programme Experiential Day on 27 June 2026, which provided prospective students, along with their teachers and parents, with valuable insights into the undergraduate programmes offered by the Department.
The event allowed participants to explore various aspects of the programmes through hands-on activities and practical sessions, ranging from laboratory tests at the Human Performance Laboratory to taster lessons on Karate, Rugby, Strength and Conditioning, Table Tennis, Mobility Stick, Tchoukball, and Indoor Rowing. Attendees gained first-hand experience of the Department’s dynamic learning environment and diverse curriculum.

The Department was honoured to have several current and former Hong Kong elite athletes conduct the trial lessons, including Ms. Lee Ho Ching, current member of the Hong Kong China Women’s Table Tennis Team; Ms. Chan Ka Man, former member of the Hong Kong China Karatedo Team; and Mr. Yong Chi-fung, former member of the Hong Kong China Men’s Rugby 7s Team and former Head Coach of the Hong Kong China Women’s Rugby 7s Team.
Their professional guidance and fruitful sharing provided participants with valuable and enjoyable learning experiences, highlighting the event’s major goal. The HPE Programme Experiential Day serves as an important initiative in supporting students’ informed decision on selecting tertiary education programmes in health and physical education.
