  • [SANDS CHINA LTD. Macau Open Badminton 2026] Ng Tsz Yau won Silver in Mixed Doubles!

    Our current elite athlete-student Ng Tsz Yau (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) shone at the “Sands China Ltd. Macau Open Badminton 2026”, part of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300. Ng Tsz Yau partnered with Chan Yin Chak in the badminton mixed doubles event, defeating three pairs of Thai components, and the fourth-seeded Chinese pair to reach their first-ever BWF World Tour Super 300 final. The final was held on June 21, where the duo faced the Chinese pair currently ranked second in the world. The duo gave their all against the opponent, ultimately fell short, losing 0:2. Despite the loss, the duo secured the silver medal, achieving the best result so far in high-level tournaments since their partnership. Congratulations!

  • [3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championships 2026] Fung Ching Hei won Silver in Women’s Doubles!

    Our elite athlete-student Fung Ching Hei (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) partnered with Cheng Nga Ching to claim a silver medal in the Women’s Doubles event at the “3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championships 2026” held in Sarawak, Malaysia. The final took place on June 21, where Fung Ching Hei and her partner faced the top-seeded home pair from Malaysia. The Hong Kong duo fought hard throughout the match but were eventually defeated 6–11, 9–11, bringing glory to the Hong Kong team with a silver medal. Congratulations!

  • [Hong Kong Athletics Open 2026] Elite Athlete-Student Cheung Ho Hin won Silver!

    Our current elite athlete-student Cheung Ho Hin (Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Physical Education)) shone at the “Hong Kong Athletics Open 2026”, claiming a silver medal in the Men's 4 x 100 meters relay alongside his teammates. The competition was held on June 14 at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground. Cheung Ho Hin teamed up with Alton Kwok, Magnus Prostur Johannsson and Chung Tsz Sing in the Men's 4 x 100 meters relay, clocking an impressive time of 40.23 seconds to secure a silver medal. Congratulations!

  • [WTT Contender Zagreb 2026] Doo Hoi Kem won Gold in Mixed Doubles!

    Our graduated elite athlete-student Doo Hoi Kem (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) performed well at the “WTT Contender Zagreb 2026” and won gold in the mixed doubles event partnering with Wong Chun Ting. The duo defeated formidable opponents from Korea and Great Britain, and also teammates from Hong Kong, to advance. The final took place on June 14, where the top seeded duo faced strong Japanese pair and fell behind in the first two games. They responded by picking up their tempo and completed a remarkable comeback victory of 3:2, securing their second championship title of 2026. Congratulations!

  • [2026 World Rowing Cup I] EdUHK Student-athletes and Graduates win Two Golds and One Silver!

    The “2026 World Rowing Cup I” took place from May 29 to 31 in Seville, Spain. Six elite athlete-students and graduates of The Education University of Hong Kong delivered outstanding performances, bringing home two gold and one silver medals. Among the athletes, Chan Tik Lun, Chen Pak Hong and Wong Ching are current students of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) programme, while Lam San Tung and Leung Wing Wun are graduates of the same programme. Chiu Hin Chun is currently pursuing a Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management.

  • HPE’s 4-week Exchange Programme to East China Normal University

    The Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) was honoured to partner with the College of Physical Education and Health at East China Normal University to organise a four-week exchange programme from 17 May to 14 June 2026. The exchange programme was led by Prof. Amy HA, Mr. Roy CHAN and Dr. Claudia WONG, with 18 HPE students embarking on the journey.
