Our current elite athlete-student Ma Ching Hong Nicholas (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 UCI Junior Track World Championships, setting a personal best in the men’s 1km time trial and finishing fourth overall.

The event took place on 20 August. Nicholas clocked a personal best time of 1 minute 2.508 seconds in the qualifying round and advanced to the final in fourth place out of 36 riders. He finished the final race with 1 minute 2.959 seconds and placed fourth overall, just 1.12 seconds short of the podium.

Although narrowly missing a medal, Nicholas gave his all and marked an important achievement at the Junior World Championships. Congratulations!
