Our elite athlete-student Chiu Hin Chun (Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management, and a graduate of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) once again demonstrated his talent on the international stage by winning a silver medal in the Lightweight Men’s Single Sculls Final at the World Rowing Cup held in Varese, Italy on 15 June 2025, bringing pride to Hong Kong.

Hin Chun showed great form in the preliminary round, finishing first in his heat with a time of 6:54.36, earning direct qualification to the A Final. He went on to deliver a steady and impressive performance in the final, completing the 2000m race in 6:50.19, narrowly missing the gold by just 1.8 seconds to the former U23 World Champion from Uruguay.
