The World Table Tennis (WTT) Saudi Smash 2024 took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from May 1st to 11th. This tournament is the highest-level event in the WTT series, with a total prize of up to two million US dollars. The champions will also receive 2000 world ranking points. Doo Hoi Kem (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) partnered with Wong Chun-ting to participate in the Mixed Doubles event.

Doo Hoi Kem and Wong Chun-ting maintained an undefeated record throughout the WTT Saudi Smash 2024, reaching the finals. They faced the world’s top-ranked Chinese pair, Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha. The Chinese pair displayed consistent performance, advancing to the finals without dropping a single game. Their dominance surprised Doo Hoi Kem and Wong Chun-ting, who ultimately settled for silver after a hard-fought match, losing three rounds of 6-11.
