Two EdUHK elite athlete-students and graduates delivered outstanding performances at the 2026 WT President’s Cup Oceania and the 2026 Australian Open, both held in the Gold Coast, Australia. They captured one gold, one silver and three bronze medals across the two international competitions.

At the 2026 WT President’s Cup Oceania, held from 18 to 19 June, Lui Ching Nam (graduate of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) competed alongside teammates in the Men’s U30 Team event. They consistently demonstrated excellent teamwork to claim the gold medal. Meanwhile, Chan Ka Yi (current student of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Physical Education)) secured a bronze medal in the Women’s U30 Individual event. She then partnered with teammate in the Mixed Pair U30 event, adding a silver medal to her tally.

In the 2026 Australian Open held from 20 to 21 June, both EdUHK elite athletes continued their strong performances and once again reached the podium. Chan Ka Yi earned another bronze medal in the Women’s U30 Individual event. Lui Ching Nam also showcased his consistent form by winning a bronze medal in the Men’s U30 Individual Event.

Their outstanding performances also contributed significantly to Team Hong Kong, China’s success in securing the Overall Poomsae Champion title at both competitions. Congratulations!
