The “2026 World Rowing Cup III” took place from 26 to 28 June in Lucerne, Switzerland. Three elite athlete-students and graduates brought home one gold and one silver medal with outstanding performances.

Chiu Hin Chun, currently pursuing a Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management, triumphed in the Men’s Lightweight Single Sculls. He completed the race in 7 minutes 1.98 seconds, defeating rival from the Netherlands by almost three seconds to reclaim the World Cup gold medal in Lucerne since his last victory in the same event in 2024.

In the Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls, Chan Tik Lun, a current student in the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) programme, teamed up with Lam San Tung, a graduate of the same programme. The duo clocked an impressive time of 6 minutes 27.14 seconds in the final and edged out the Dutch crew by 0.22 seconds to secure the silver medal.
