The Asian Track Cycling Championships 2024 took place at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Velodrome in New Delhi, India, from 21 to 26 February 2024. Our elite athlete students are the members of the Hong Kong Cycling Team, which has won multiple medals in this championship.

Lee Sze Wing continued to shine on the world stage. She won two Silver Medals in the Women’s Elimination Race, followed by the Women’s Scratch Race on the next day respectively. Then she partnered with another Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) student, Leung Wing Yee to compete in the Women’s Madison Race and won Bronze Medals. On the last day of the Championship, Lee also competed in her strongest event, Women’s Omnium. With a total of 119 points, she clinched another Bronze Medal for Hong Kong Team.

Ng Pak Hang competed in the Men’s Individual Pursuit. He ranked third in the qualifying round and delivered an excellent performance in the final, securing a bronze medal.
Leung Bo Yee also secured a bronze Women’s Points Race medal. Alongside other competitors, she surpassed the main group and earned additional points, ultimately achieving Bronze with an excellent performance.

Mow Ching Yin participated in the Men’s 40km Points Race at the Asian Track Cycling Championships and eventually clinched a bronze medal. Despite trailing behind Japanese rider Erushima Naoki and Kazakh rider Alisher Zhumakan, he performed remarkably by lapping the main group and scoring points in sprint laps.

Tso Kai Kwong competed in the Men’s Omnium on the last day of the Championship. He finished 7th in the Scratch Race, and 4th in the Tempo Race, and unfortunately, he did not score in the Elimination Race. However, he scored 69 points in the Points Race and ended up winning the Bronze Medal with a total of 145 points.

After these competitions, the Hong Kong team garnered multiple medals at the Asian Track Cycling Championships, demonstrating their formidable competitiveness in track cycling events.
