Seminar on Major Sports Event: Organisation of a Major International Sports Event in Hong Kong

To further support EdUHK runners in their preparation for the upcoming Hong Kong Marathon 2026, the Department of Health and Physical Education is set to host a series of activities including workshops and seminar on marathon in November. Distinguished speakers will share practical tips on the training recovery and mental preparation for distance running and the organisation of major sports events.
The inaugural seminar on “Organisation of a Major International Sports Event in Hong Kong” was successfully held on 17 November 2025 at EdUHK.
The event featured Mr Kwan Kee, Chairman of the Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates, as the guest speaker. In this insightful talk, Mr Kwan shared his extensive expertise in organising large-scale international sports events. Attendees actively engaged in the seminar and gained valuable understanding of the key steps involved in planning, coordinating, and executing world-class sports competitions in Hong Kong.
