Our graduated elite athlete-student Doo Hoi Kem (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) delivered an outstanding performance at the WTT Contender Taiyuan 2026, advancing to the finals in both Mixed Doubles and Women’s Doubles, and ultimately securing two silver medals.

In the Mixed Doubles event held on 11 April, Doo Hoi Kem partnered with Wong Chun Ting progressed smoothly through the rounds, defeating pairs from Luxembourg and Singapore along the way. In the final, the Hong Kong duo fought back strongly after falling behind, demonstrating strong teamwork and mental resilience. Despite their efforts, they were eventually defeated 1–3, securing the silver medal. 

The following day, Doo Hoi Kem teamed up with Ng Wing Lam in the Women’s Doubles competition. The newly formed duo once again delivered an impressive performance, playing proactively against the Chinese opponents in the final. Although they ultimately suffered a 1–3 defeat, they successfully claimed the silver medal. The result marked the pair’s second WTT medal since January this year, an encouraging achievement that highlighted their growing partnership and potential.
