The Chengdu FISU World University Games Summer was held from 28 July to 8 August 2023. Doo Hoi Kem, our elite athlete student in Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) and the member of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Team, represented EdUHK to participate in the World University Games. Doo partnered with Soo Wai Yam and Lam Yee Lok in Women's Team Event while she paired up with Ho Kwan Kit in Mixed Doubles Event. She won the Bronze medals in both events respectively, which are the first medals of EdUHK in Table Tennis at the World University Games. The outstanding result has also brought the Hong Kong team a record-breaking in the sum of medals, with 4 Gold, 1 Silver, and 7 Bronze Medals. |
