  • The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships – Shek Wai Hung has qualified for the Olympic Games

    The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships has completed in Stuttgart, Germany yesterday (13 Oct, 2019). Shek Wai-hung (Stone), the student from Bachelor of Health Education (Honors) programme has qualified to book a ticket to Tokyo Olympic Games after finishing seventh in the men’s vault. However, Stone felt disappointed with his performance on failing to deliver on his first vault, he strongly stated that he will work more harder on training to avoid zero mistake.

  • 3 Gold & 1 Bronze medals from Lee Wai Sze in 2019 National Track Cycling Championships!

    Congratulations! 2019 National Track Cycling Championships has been completed at Tianjin Tuanbo Sports Center on 12 September 2019. Ms Sarah Lee Wai-sze, BBS, MH, Honorary Fellow of EdUHK, Graduate of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) has achieved excellent performance in the competition, she won 3 gold medals in Sprint, 500m time-trial and Keirin, also with 1 bronze medal in 250m time-trial.

  • [JBI] EdUHK wins Jordan Brand Invitational for first time

    Many local dailies reported that the finals of the Jordan Brand Invitational (JBI) were held on 1 September at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre. EdUHK defeated the Vocational Training Council by 88-76 to win the championship while LU beat PolyU by 102-96 to get a third place. Mr Man Ho-chun, who plays the role of Centre during the game, also garnered three titles including the Most Value Player Award.

    Ms Sarah Lee Wai-sze, BBS, MH, Honorary Fellow of EdUHK, Graduate of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours), again scoops 3 more gold medals in Japan Track Cup on 23 – 25 August 2019, including two champions for Sprint and one gold for Keirin events.

  • Five HPE’s Elite Sports Students are awarded in 2019 Honours List

    The 2019 Honours List has been published in the Government Gazette. Big congratulations! Mr Au Chun Ching, Mr Kwok Pak Nga Eric, Mr Leung Chi Hin Henry, Mr Chiu Hin Chun and Mr Cheng Chun Leung Michael, the students of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours), have been awarded in the List. The Honours recipients are given an honour or award in recognition of their significant contributions to Hong Kong or for their dedicated public and community service.

  • EdUHK President’s Awards Honour Outstanding Staff

    The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held a presentation ceremony today (16 May) for its President’s Awards for Outstanding Performance in Teaching, Research, Knowledge Transfer and Administrative Services 2018/19. On the occasion, EdUHK Council Chairman Professor Frederick Ma Si-hang and President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung presented the awards to six staff members and five teams for their achievements and contributions.

  • EdUHK stages Love to Move programme in collaboration Joyful (Mental Health) Foundation

    TVB reported that the closing ceremony of the Joyful Jockey Club "Love to Move" Programme, sponsored by HKJC Charities Trust, was held on 4 May. Jointly organised by Joyful (Mental Health) Foundation and EdUHK, the three-year programme aimed to promote mental health awareness with the help of sports by organising different activities in primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong, including seminars, workshops, student ambassador training and elderly community visits. It has benefited over 90,000 teachers and students.

  • EdUHK Wins Five Awards at the Geneva’s Invention Expo

    Professor Lui Tai-lok, Vice President (Research and Development) of EdUHK, congratulated the winners: “EdUHK is committed to promoting knowledge transfer and the transformation and application of research. By sharing our research output with the industry and the community, the University hopes to create positive changes for society. We are delighted to have received this recognition once again at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
