The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is holding its 2025 Graduation Ceremony on the Tai Po Campus between 19 and 22 November, conferring degrees on more than 5,700 graduates, including 23 elite athlete students.

Two elite athlete graduates from the Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE), Doo Hoi-kem and Chan Yan-kit, both graduates of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) programme, have been appointed as EdUHK’s “Elite Athlete Friendly University” Ambassadors. The appointments recognize their outstanding accomplishments in both academic studies and high-performance sport. Drawing on their dual-pathway experiences at EdUHK, the pair is expected to help advance the development of sports education.

Doo Hoi-kem, a representative of the Hong Kong, China Table Tennis Team, won bronze in the Women’s Team event at the 2020 Olympic Games. Chan Yan-kit, Head Coach of the Hong Kong, China Para Badminton Team, led the team to a silver medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games. He has also received the Medal of Honour from the HKSAR Government and been named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons.

Our Department extends its warmest congratulations to all graduates on their achievements!
