The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Fire Services Department (FSD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 2 October to establish a collaborative partnership in organising training on the fundamentals of emergency care and critical response by the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy (FASA) and EdUHK’s Department of Health and Physical Education.

The training will equip students with the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use automated external defibrillators (AEDs), as well as fire safety measures, emergency evacuation procedures, and handle environmental emergencies. It is designed to further enhance the preparedness of youngsters in the community in case of an emergency and elevate the overall efficiency of life-saving treatments.
