HPE Department Kicks Off New Academic Year with Inspiring HPE Assembly

On September 5, 2025, the Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) hosted its annual HPE Assembly, bringing together nearly 400 students and staff members in a vibrant celebration of community, professionalism, and academic purpose.

Warm welcome from Professor Ha Sau Ching Amy, Head of Department, who emphasized the importance of the word “Professional” as students embark on their academic and career journeys.

Another key highlight of the assembly was the introduction of new academic staff, who bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the department:

  • Prof. EDWARDS Andrew Mark – Associate Head of Department & Professor
  • Prof. KUO Chia-Hua – Professor

  • Ms. Chan Wing Yue Jade Bernadette – Lecturer II

Their arrival marks an exciting chapter in HPE’s ongoing mission to advance physical education and sports science through innovative teaching and research.
