  • HPE Programme Experiential Day 2026

    The Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) successfully hosted the HPE Programme Experiential Day on 27 June 2026, which provided prospective students, along with their teachers and parents, with valuable insights into the undergraduate programmes offered by the Department. 

  • HPE was Invited to Attend the HKFWS Mediation Service Accreditation Ceremony

    The Head of Department of Health and Physical Education Prof Amy Ha, and Assistant Professor Dr Peggy Or, were invited by the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS) to attend the “25 Years and Beyond: HKFWS Mediation Service Accreditation Ceremony” on 11 July 2026 (Sat) in the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association. The Secretary for Justice of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Paul Lam Ting Kwok, GBS, SC, JP, was the officiating guest.

  • EdUHK Elite Athlete-students Lee Sze Wing and Leung Wing Yee Conferred Honour and Commendation by the Government of the HKSAR

    The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China announced the 2026 Honours List on July 1. Two elite athlete-students Lee Sze Wing and Leung Wing Yee, both studying the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) programme at The Education University of Hong Kong, were awarded an honour and a commendation respectively in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of sports in Hong Kong.

  • Western Sydney University Delegation Visits EdUHK

    A delegation from Western Sydney University of Australia visited The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Tai Po Campus on 30 June 2026. The visit provided the delegation with a comprehensive understanding of EdUHK’s campus facilities, including the Human Performance Laboratory (HPL), and the University’s history.

  • HPE Year-End Appreciation Lunch

    HPE hosted a year-end appreciation lunch on 23 June to conclude the bustling 2025/26 academic year. The gathering offered colleagues a chance to reflect on the year’s achievements and to recognize the dedication and contributions of members of the Department. The occasion also marked the retirement of Professor Cheng Sheung Tak. The Department sincerely thanks for Professor Cheng’s many years service and his valuable contributions to the Department. We wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement. Dr. Anna Wong will also be leaving the Department to pursue further studies. The Department thanks for her contributions and we wish her for every success in her future endeavors.
