香港女子團體乒乓球隊在2020東京奧運歷史性奪得銅牌！兩位就讀香港教育大學健康教育榮譽學士的精英運動員學生 - 杜凱琹及李皓晴，以及港隊另一成員蘇慧音以局數3︰1力壓德國隊。她們憑著努力不懈及堅忍的毅力，最終在2020東京奧運會取得成功！

香港代表隊勇奪東京奧運乒乓球女子團體賽銅牌，是香港女子乒乓球隊取得的首面奧運獎牌。香港教育大學（教大）校長張仁良教授於8月6日與教大學生杜凱琹與李皓晴透過視像會面，祝賀二人創下佳績。

In 2020/21, sports competitions had been suspended for a long period. In the beginning of the pandemic, USFHK adopted alternative arrangements for competitions at tertiary level yet it was still a tough and challenging year due to the widespread outbreak of COVID-19. The EdUHK Annual Prize Presentation Day was also forced to be cancelled this year to prevent the spread of infectious disease. However, to show our appreciation for the participation and efforts made by the coaches and the sport team members in such difficult times, HPE had distributed the E-certificates to honour the MVP and MDAA awardees of the USFHK sports competitions.

香港教育大學於2021年8月31日宣布成立「精英運動員友好大學基金」，支持運動員持續進修，作雙軌發展。
