  • Water Safety Promotion Programme in Rural Areas of the Greater Bay Area

    The Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) successfully organized the Water Safety Promotion Programme in Rural Areas of the Greater Bay Area in May 2024. Co-organized with the Hong Kong Swimming Teachers’ Association (HKSTA) and the Orphan Education Society Guangdong (OESG), the programme included three 5-day workshops in Xinyi City and Qianguancun. About 30 HPE students acted as the main or assistant swimming coach to teach more than 300 teenagers.Teaching content covered essential water safety knowledge, drowning prevention strategies, swimming techniques (breathing, floating, propulsion), and basic rescue skills. The programme aimed to address the lack of swimming and water safety education in rural areas, while helping HPE students apply their knowledge to benefit the community.

  • [泛太平洋體操錦標賽2024] – 教大吳家褀成功摘銀！

    泛太平洋體操錦標賽2024於4月21日至28日，在哥倫比亞的卡利舉行。教大的精英運動員兼健康教育榮譽學士，吳家褀，亦有參與是次的男子跳馬成年組賽事。吳家褀在決賽中取得平均分13.925分，以0.525分惜敗於菲律賓代表，但亦成功摘銀。在此再次恭喜家褀拿下個人首面國際賽獎牌，並期待你以後有更出色的表現！

  • [World Table Tennis德國支線賽] - 教大李皓晴捲土重來奪冠！

    World Table Tennis 德國支線賽 於4月8日至12日德國的杜塞道夫舉行。教大的精英運動員李皓晴（健康教育榮譽學士）繼續夥拍朱成竹出戰女雙賽事。李皓晴和朱成竹於上站克羅地亞支線賽屈居亞軍，今站轉戰德國。首圈以局數3︰1擊退克羅地亞組合；8強以同樣比分淘汰3︰1 法國組合；4強更直落3︰0局擊敗東道主德國組合。決賽戲碼由李皓晴和朱成竹決戰韓國組合。她們先取下首兩局，以2︰0領先。其後韓國組反擊連追兩局，扳平局數2︰2進入決勝局。最終的戰局，李皓晴和朱成竹抵着壓力，以11︰6報捷，鎖定3︰2的勝局，捧走冠軍。恭喜李皓晴！

    The Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE) is calling for nomination for the Outstanding FLASS Alumni Award (“The Award”) in 2023/24.

  • [WTT黎巴嫩公開賽] – 教大杜凱琹添2024首面金牌！

    The WTT Feeder I & II 2024 were held in Beirut, Lebanon, from 19 to 21 and 22 to 24 in March, respectively. Doo Hoi Kem (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) also participated in both events and achieved outstanding results. In the Women’s Doubles final of the WTT Feeder Beirut I 2024, Doo Hoi Kem partnered with Zhu Chengzhu to defeat a cross-national team (Serbia and Germany) with a score of 3:1, winning the Gold Medals. In the Women’s Singles semi-finals, Doo Hoi Kem lost to Suh Hyo Won (South Korea) with a score of 1:3 but still secured the Bronze Medal. And on the last day of the WTT Feeder II 2024, Doo Hoi Kem maintain her outstanding performance in the Women’s Double event. They came back from 1:0, defeated the India Team by a final result of 3:1 in rounds, and claimed a Gold Medal in consecutive competitions.
