The 2024 National Rowing Autumn Championships took place on December 21 in Lishui, Zhejiang. Representing Hong Kong at the Paris Olympics and EdUHK elite athlete-student, Chiu Hin-chun (Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management) delivered an impressive performance in the men’s single sculls 6000m time trial, claiming the bronze medal with a time of 22 minutes and 57.82 seconds.

The competition attracted 138 top-tier athletes from across the country and Hong Kong, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere. After the race, Chiu Hin-chun expressed his gratitude on social media for the support he received and humorously remarked, “My goal for next year is to outpace the champion and runner-up of this championship!” While concluding his 2024 season on a high note, Chiu Hin-chun has also set his sights on reaching greater heights in the coming year.
