[2026 World Rowing Cup I] EdUHK Student-athletes and Graduates win Two Golds and One Silver!

The “2026 World Rowing Cup I” took place from May 29 to 31 in Seville, Spain. Six elite athlete-students and graduates of The Education University of Hong Kong delivered outstanding performances, bringing home two gold and one silver medals. Among the athletes, Chan Tik Lun, Chen Pak Hong and Wong Ching are current students of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) programme, while Lam San Tung and Leung Wing Wun are graduates of the same programme. Chiu Hin Chun is currently pursuing a Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management.
Chan Tik Lun partnered with Lam San Tung in the Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls and clinched the gold medal with a result of 6 minutes 34.23 seconds, defeating the Venezuelan pair.
In the Women’s Lightweight Double Sculls, Leung Wing Wun partnered with Cheung Yuen Shan, crossing the finish line in 7 minutes 11.90 seconds, almost 7 seconds ahead of the Venezuelan Team, securing Hong Kong’s second gold medal.
Meanwhile, Chiu Hin Chun shown determination in the Men’s Lightweight Single Sculls final. He claimed silver, finishing just behind the Portuguese rower.
In addition, Chen Pak Hong and Wong Ching finished first in the Men’s Open Pair (Final C) event.
