Local dailies reported that EdUHK and the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) signed a memorandum of understanding for providing higher education to retiring and retired local athletes, becoming the first local university to provide related supports to athletes. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Mr Timothy Fok Tsun-ting, President of SF&OC and Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, President of EdUHK. |

1 event,Former Hong Kong beach volleyball athlete Miss Chung Wai Wa has published her new book “Ignite the Fighting Spirit – Who Says Dreams Never Come True?” last month, covering the stories of Hong Kong elite athletes’ perseverance and determination as well we their journeys in pursuing a dual career pathway in sports and studies. Two of the HPE students have been interviewed, including current professional football player Mr Yuen Ho-chun and squad member of the Hong Kong national rugby sevens team Mr Eric Kwok Pak-nga. |
