The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) received a generous donation of HK$2 million from the Friends of Hong Kong Association (FHKA) on 2 December in support of the University’s Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Fund, a scheme established to promote the dual career pathway for local athletes and to foster the sustainable development of local sports. 
Chan Yan Kit, a current student from Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) Programme, is a role model of elite athlete on developing his dual career pathway. Kit retired from full-time badminton athlete and has become part-time coach at Hong Kong Sports Institute since 2016. |

The RTHK has interviewed Chung Pui Ki Vicky, a female football athlete and the Year 1 student of Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) Programme on her sport development and dual career pathway. She is the first batch of athlete-students from Hong Kong Athletes Career & Education Programme (HKACEP) admitted into EdUHK after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) on 8 January 2021, while EdUHK is the first local university to establish such a collaboration with HKACEP. |
