  • [IBD World Championships 2024] – Kwok Wing won two sensational Silver Medals!

    The IBD World Championships 2024 was held from May 18 to 31 in Ekurhuleni, South Africa. Our elite athlete, Kwok Wing (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)), participated in the B2 Men’s Singles event and partnered with Li Chi Ming Rockey in the B3/B4 Mixed Pairs event. He performed well in both matches and eventually won two Silver Medals. Congrats to Kwok Wing on his sensational performance!

  • [World Table Tennis Saudi Smash 2024] – Doo Hoi Kem won a remarkable Silver!

    The World Table Tennis (WTT) Saudi Smash 2024 took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from May 1st to 11th. This tournament is the highest-level event in the WTT series, with a total prize of up to two million US dollars. The champions will also receive 2000 world ranking points. Doo Hoi Kem (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) partnered with Wong Chun-ting to participate in the Mixed Doubles event.

  • [2024 Pacific Rim Gymnastic Championship] – EdUHK Ng Ka Ki claimed valuable Silver!

    The 2024 Pacific Rim Gymnastic Championship took place in Cali, Colombia, from April 21st to 28th. Ng Ka Ki, an EdUHK elite athlete and Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) student, participated in the Senior Men's Vault event. In the Finals, he scored an average of 13.925, only 0.525 points short of winning the Gold Medal. However, he still managed to secure the Silver Medal. Congratulations on winning his first international medal, and we all look forward to Ka Ki claiming a Gold Medal next time!

  • [World Table Tennis Feeder Düsseldorf 2024] – EdUHK Lee Ho Ching Claimed Gold!

    The World Table Tennis Feeder Düsseldorf 2024 was held in Dusseldorf, Germany, from April 8th to 12th. Our Elite Athlete Student, Lee Ho Ching (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)), continued her partnership with Zhu Chengzhu in the Women’s Doubles Event. In the previous WTT Feeder Varazdin 2024, Lee Ho Ching and Zhu Chengzhu won the 1st Runner-Up. In this WTT Feeder Düsseldorf 2024, they defeated the Croatian pair in the opening round with a round score of 3-1. In the quarterfinals, they eliminated the French pair with the same score in rounds. In the semifinals, they dominated the German pair and won the rounds of 3-0. In the finals, Lee Ho Ching and Zhu Chenzhu competed against the Korean pair. After taking the first two sets and leading 2-0, they faced a strong comeback from the Korean pair, resulting in a tied score of 2-2. In the decisive final game, Lee Ho Ching and Zhu Chenzhu weathered the storm, triumphing with an 11-6 victory, securing the Championship. Congratulations to Lee Ho Ching!

  • [WTT Feeder Beirut 2024] – First Gold in 2024 for Elite-Athlete-Student, Doo Hoi Kem!

    The WTT Feeder I & II 2024 were held in Beirut, Lebanon, from 19 to 21 and 22 to 24 in March, respectively. Doo Hoi Kem (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) also participated in both events and achieved outstanding results. In the Women’s Doubles final of the WTT Feeder Beirut I 2024, Doo Hoi Kem partnered with Zhu Chengzhu to defeat a cross-national team (Serbia and Germany) with a score of 3:1, winning the Gold Medals. In the Women’s Singles semi-finals, Doo Hoi Kem lost to Suh Hyo Won (South Korea) with a score of 1:3 but still secured the Bronze Medal. And on the last day of the WTT Feeder II 2024, Doo Hoi Kem maintain her outstanding performance in the Women’s Double event. They came back from 1:0, defeated the India Team by a final result of 3:1 in rounds, and claimed a Gold Medal in consecutive competitions.

  • [15th East Asian Squash Championship] EdUHK Fung Ching Hei contributed to Hong Kong Squash Team History!

    The 15th East Asian Squash Championship was held in Haining, Zhejiang, from 8th to 10th March. Fung Ching Hei (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) represented the Squash Team in the Mixed Team Event. In the final against South Korea, Fung Ching Hei played in the second match. She took the lead with two sets of 11:5, but the South Korean player did not show weakness, and evened the score with 11:4 and 11:1 in succession. Ultimately, Fung Ching Hei lived up to expectations and won the decisive set with 11:5, widening the match score to 2:0.
