  • The 7th EdUHK Annual Athletic Meet

    The 7th EdUHK Annual Athletic Meet was successfully held at the Pak Shek Kok Sports Centre on 13 January 2023 after 2 years of pandemic.

  • [EOCP Project] Tutorials on Classroom Management and Pedagogy: Online PE

    COVID-19 and its ripple effects cause a permanent impact on learning and teaching environment in local schools. Due to the temporary suspension of face-to-face classes, shifting to online or blended classes swiftly as circumstances require will become a new normal. The EdUHK developed a platform named EdUHK Online Classes Platform (EOCP) in May 2020 to share readily usable teaching and learning videos with local schools to cater the immediate needs for in-service teachers. Later on, the platform extended its feature to include webinars and workshops which fostered exchange of insights in learning and teaching under the New Normal; as well as an online teaching experience scheme through which pre-service teachers at EdUHK served in local schools to support curricular and co-curricular activities online.

  • HPE Camp 2022

    The Department of Health and Physical Education organised the HPE Camp from 19 - 21 December 2022. Around 120 students from Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Physical Education) and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Sports Science and Coaching joinned the camp. The activities included hiking, high events and canoe.

  • EdUHK and Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charity Fund Launch Scholarship for Elite Athletes

    Refer to the post in Press Release of EdUHK’s website, EdUHK has received a donation from Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charity Fund to establish the Nissin Foods Scholarship for Elite Athletes. The Scholarship is intended to encourage elite athletes who are in the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) programme or the Postgraduate Diploma in Education programme at EdUHK to continue to pursue excellence in both their athletic performance and their studies to become educators of health in the future.

  • PE in Community

    “PE in Community” was held on 13th December 2022 (14:00-15:30). The venue was Tai Po Waterfront Park. There were 16 students from Po Leung Kuk Tin Ka Ping Millennium Primary School in total. This activity aims to encourage primary students to participate in sports activities by using “Google Earth” and “Padlet” which are designed by the students. This activity can raise students’ awareness on health and sports. Before the activity began, there were 5 lessons regarding the teaching of using different applications on iPad and designing their group project on “Google Earth” and “Padlet”.

  • [2022 Asian Rowing Championships] EdUHK Rowing Elite Student-Athletes won 3 GOLD & 1 SILVER!

    The Hong Kong Rowing Team has participated in the 2022 Asian Rowing Championships & Asian Junior Rowing Championships from 29 Nov to 4 Dec at Ban Chang, Rayong, Thailand. Chiu Hin Chun, a student of Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management at EdUHK and Rio Olympian, won his first gold medal in Lightweight Men’s single sculls. In addition, the pair, Lam San Tung and Wong Wai Chun won the gold medals in Men’s Coxless pair while Leung Wing Wun obtained the silver medal in Women’s Lightweight single sculls. Three of the above rowing elite student-athletes are studying in Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) Programme.

  • The EdUHK’s 1st Basketball Challenge

    The EdUHK’s 1st Basketball Challenge was successfully held from 29/11/2022 to 30/11/2022, there were over 100 students and staff participating in this competition. The organizers are the HPE department and the Sports council. The committee members are Kwok Sin Yi (Second major PE year3), Siu Choi Lam (PE year1) and Cheng Tsz Kwan (PE year1).

  • Celebration on the graduation of EdUHK elite athlete graduates

    Refer to the post in EdUHK’s Facebook, EdUHK elite athlete graduates celebrated their graduation with President Professor Stephen Cheung on the second day of the EdUHK graduation ceremony organised by Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, EDUHK. After having their photos taken to mark this special occasion, the new graduates played table tennis with the President.

  • [FISU World University Squash Championships 2022] Chung Yat Long & Fung Ching Hei won a BRONZE in Team Event!

    The two elite athlete-students of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) Programme, Chung Yat Long and Fung Ching Hei with their team players won a bronze medal of Team Event in FISU World University Squash Championships 2022, while Chung Yat Long also finished the Men’s Individual Event in sixth place. They were selected as a member of the University of Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK) Squash Team to represent Hong Kong, China and EdUHK in the tournament, which was held in Cairo, Egypt from 10 to 13 November 2022.
