    20202021年度大专羽毛球决赛于4月25日在香港教育大学举行。教大以3:0击败城大,首度荣膺女子组冠军;而男子组则击败城大夺得季军。

    【体路报导】就读教大健康教育荣誉学士的精英运动员学生 - 李皓晴于2021全港公开乒乓球单项锦标赛夺得女子甲组单打冠军。因疫情关系,赛事以闭门作赛,香港队主力球员均有参赛。皓晴表示继比赛空窗期后,此赛事是很好的锻炼机会,为东京奥运作出充足的准备。

    【香港01报导】疫情下,很多的体育活动都相继取消。不过循理会美林小学选择从中求变,在2021年2月22至3月5日,与香港教育大学健康与体育学系合办了为期两星期的虚拟运动会。

  • 教大举办首个虚拟陆运会

    As lined up by CO, Ming Pao and Sportsroad reported that EdUHK held the first virtual annual athletics meet themed “Companion” to promote physical and mental health during the pandemic. The athletics meet was organised by students from the Department of Health and Physical Education. They have also worked with kindergartens, primary schools and special education schools to tip pupils and parents on safe exercises online, as well as planning to help other schools to hold virtual sports days.

    Former Hong Kong beach volleyball athlete Miss Chung Wai Wa has published her new book “Ignite the Fighting Spirit – Who Says Dreams Never Come True?” last month, covering the stories of Hong Kong elite athletes’ perseverance and determination as well we their journeys in pursuing a dual career pathway in sports and studies. Two of the HPE students have been interviewed, including current professional football player Mr Yuen Ho-chun and squad member of the Hong Kong national rugby sevens team Mr Eric Kwok Pak-nga.

    香港教育大学(教大)和中国香港体育协会暨奥林匹克委员会(港协暨奥委会)签订运动员专上教育合作备忘录,为准备退役和退役运动员,提供多元出路。教大为首家和港协暨奥委会签署备忘录的本地大学,全方位支援他们作多元发展。

  • 阻力训练及带氧运动同样重要

    Ming Pao, Ming Pao OL and Ming Pao Daily News cited Dr. CHOW Chi Ching, Gary, Assistant Professor at the Department of Health and Physical Education, as saying that resistance training and aerobic exercise are complementary to each other, which will boost sports performance and physical fitness. He dismissed rumours that resistance training alone can help build muscle and there is no need to do aerobic exercise. He said doing aerobic exercise will help improve blood circulation and improve physical strength in the long run.
