HPE Academics Receive Faculty Teaching Award and Caring Teacher Award
Dr Leung Ka Man, Carman, Associate Professor at the Department of Health and Physical Education (HPE), has been awarded by the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS) the Faculty Teaching Award 2024/25 in recognition of her innovative and empowering approach to teaching. Her research, workshops, and programmes—particularly those supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities—have not only enriched students’ learning experiences and enhanced classroom instruction, but also made a meaningful impact on community practice.

[2025 National Track Cycling Championships and National Youth Track Cycling Championships] Lee Sze Wing & Leung Wing Yee Clinch Silver!
Our elite athlete-students, Lee Sze Wing and Leung Wing Yee (both students of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)), competed on 15 July 2025 at the 2025 National Track Cycling Championships and National Youth Track Cycling Championships held in Shanghai. The duo demonstrated outstanding teamwork in the Women’s 30km Madison race and captured a silver medal.

[1st Wushu Taolu Asian Cup & 2nd Wushu Sanda Asian Cup] Yeung Michelle Shines with 2 Golds and 1 Silver – Top Performer for Team Hong Kong
Our current elite athlete-student Yeung Michelle (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) delivered an incredible performance at the 1st Wushu Taolu Asian Cup & 2nd Wushu Sanda Asian Cup, held in Jilin, China from 3 to 7 July 2025. She took home two golds and one silver, making her one of Hong Kong’s most decorated athletes at the tournament.

[2025 World Rowing Cup – Lucerne] Chiu Hin Chun, Ambassador of Elite Athlete Friendly University, Wins Silver Again in Consecutive Events

[2025 Duya Legends International Tour Malaysia Open] Yip Kin Ling Achieves International Success
Our elite athlete-student Yip Kin Ling Leo (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours), has earned international acclaim with championship title of Heyball in 2025 Duya Legends International Tour Malaysia on 20 June. In the final match, Leo delivered a dominant performance to defeat Chinese Taipei by a score of 73–52, bringing home a prestigious international gold medal for Hong Kong, China.

[2025 World Rowing Cup – Varese] Chiu Hin Chun Wins Silver Medal!
Our elite athlete-student Chiu Hin Chun (Master of Social Sciences in Sports Coaching and Management, and a graduate of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)) once again demonstrated his talent on the international stage by winning a silver medal in the Lightweight Men’s Single Sculls Final at the World Rowing Cup held in Varese, Italy on 15 June 2025, bringing pride to Hong Kong.

[Japan Track Cup] EdUHK Elite Athlete-Students Win One Gold and Three Silver Medals
Our elite athlete-students, Leung Wing Yee and Lee Sze Wing (both students of the Bachelor of Health Education (Honours))— represented Hong Kong, China at the Japan Track Cup held in Izu, Japan, from 29 May to 1 June 2025. The duo once again delivered outstanding performances on the international stage, earning a total of one gold and three silver medals.

[16th East Asian Squash Championships] Fung Ching Hei Contributed Hong Kong Team Achieved 11th Consecutive Title
The three-day 16th East Asian Squash Championships returned to Hong Kong for the first time since 2017. In the final, our elite student-athlete Fung Ching Hei (Bachelor of Health Education (Honours)), competed in the women's singles event. With a composed and confident performance, she defeated her South Korean opponent in straight games—11:9, 11:6, 11:5—securing a crucial point for the Hong Kong team.

The 2025 Hong Kong International Track Cup cum 15th National Games Track Cycling Test Event took place at the Hong Kong Velodrome, Tseung Kwan O, from 19 to 21 April 2025. Our elite athlete-students delivered remarkable performances, earning an impressive one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals across various elite-level events.

[The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup Women’s Tour of Thailand] EdUHK Elite Athlete-Students (Cycling) Win Team Championship Title!
Four elite athlete-students delivered an exceptional performance at the The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup Women's Tour of Thailand, securing the 1st Team General Classification title. The winning squad featured Lee Sze Wing, Leung Wing Yee, Kwan Tsz Kwan, all current Bachelor of Health Education (Honours) students, along with graduate Leung Bo Yee. The event, held in Thailand from March 31 to April 2, 2025, had the Hong Kong team competing in the three-stage women’s race alongside teammate Yang Qianyu.
