The HPE adapted physical education teacher workshop was held on 8th July and 15th July 2022 successfully. The workshop was conducted under the theme of adapted physical activity (APA) and adapted physical education (APE), with international and local perspectives.
 
Five speakers from the University of Worcester and the Education University of Hong Kong brought a number of attractive subtopics under the theme of APE/APA. The workshop provided a good platform to deliver both theoretical and practical knowledge related to APE/APA to the local school (including special school) teachers, and inspired them to work with parents and other stakeholders to promote an optimized sports atmosphere in schools and in society.
 
We hope that, through the workshop, students with special education needs will be encouraged to engage in regular exercise as much as possible for the sake of maintaining good health, adopting an active and healthy lifestyle, and unleashing vitality with positive attitudes. HPE would continue to collaborate with the University of Worcester in promoting APA/APE practice in local societies and developing APA/APE research in the future.
